its takes more than one person to critisize before any real progress can be made.

But, only positive criticism is productive. All I am seeing is flaming. I am just sick of seeing it in EVERY post that one or two people don't like.

positive criticism is the least productive, nothing would ever get done if everyone told you what they liked about it, people need to tell you what they dont like so that it can be changed to better suit their needs.

I think "Progressive Criticism" is a better way to explain what I was saying. By positive criticism, I meant likes AND dislikes. Positive in the sence of moving forward. By negitive, I mean "D00d that SUx0rZ teh C0(K!" posts.

By that logic, how many people went 'WTF are a Mesmer, Margonite, Marsaat, Charr, etc...' before they knew anything about the game?

It's made up, just as most good fantasy ideas are.

Can't forget "White Mantel? There is a fireplace in the game?"

Pintpointfive, that's just an inane post. Ok, bad ideas with good intentions are better than no ideas at all. Happy?

Of course there are bad ideas that are just bad. They're the ones that aren't good intentioned. What in your head made you think that was a comment that would in any way contribute to this thread?

Back to the OP, yeah, some of the skills don't really mesh, but I think a heretic (or as the OP put it meretic) could be a viable class in the game. Especially if it used adrenaline. I think we definitely need another class that would take advantage of that part of the combat system.

instead of flaming and making fun of his ideas , why not give constructive criticisms. "Meretic," sounds ridiculous to me, but also Charr and Mursaats until I know and seen them in action. Guys, this game was created for ages 13 and over, most of the younger players have wild and wide imagination, do not discourage them or make fun of them. It's like making fun of a handicap because thye are not like you. Not cool

The name is Meretic or Heretic or sumtin like that. A class which specializes in Dark Priest/Evil Magic.
Which they follow the UnderWorld Gods. They can wear Only Light Armour and have the Ability of Wielding Great and Heavy Crushing weapons.
Why not just call them demi-gods of imbalance.

Mesmer is not made up. It's a name associated with hypnotists, in honor of Friedrich Anton Mesmer, who used hypnotism in an attempt to treat diseases in the late 1700 and early 1800's.

Probably the same thing that could make someone think an idea like "bad ideas are better than no ideas". Merely pointing out how "inane" another post was.

From the changes: Renamed "Stone Summit Arcanist" to "Stone Summit Heretic"

See, his idea wasn't all that off!
